Da Dirt Trackz

Da trials man...da trails...yyyaaaaaa.
(hur hur)

Ok...seriously, the following pictures are of trained professionals doing what they enjoy.

Yeah right...the following pictures are of Viv, Nick, Rob, Chris, Mark, Jay and I, at the dirt track effort thing...with Nick, Jay, and Viv getting mass air of a stupidly sized jump.
Also...towards the end...are pictures of Kerry...reasoning behind that when we get down to them...
So, to start, I shall set the scene.

'Twas a beautiful summer's twilight, when 7 people set out to live the dream. Unfortunatly, said dream had been trashed by townies with spades. So, Viv jumped off some walls, and then we built a new jump out of some tyres, some wood, a metal stick, a blue plastic barrel, a wooden stick, and some sand.

This was before I'd worked out the timing on the camera...you press the button, and a second later it takes the picture...so...this is Viv, landing very hard...off a 4 1/2 foot wall...with Nick looking on in sympathetic pain.

Still, not having the timing up to scratch...this is Viv, on his runup. You can see the full height of the wall...geeze, he is insane.

Now, with the timing worked out, checkitout. Perfect. Viv, in mid-take off...going strong.

Nick, Viv and Chris, off to the dirt thingy, looking, dodgy.

Rob's £600 bmx. It's a bad picture, as we were both riding along...so side by side...and me having to go non-handed to steady the camera...not good.

A scene of devasation. Damn those townies.

Nick going "trails man yeah". A yellow pipe/barrel type thing...he was riding on...

Holes, dug into the run-up, to make sure no speed can be gained. Another reason to hate townies...yey.

Rob going trailing...(a tiny bump)

Viv setting out on a mammoth wheelie...

The so-called "barbie bike" of me...it's about 8 yrs old...don't say anything.

Viv getting surprisingly high off a quite small jump.

Jay failing to get any surprisingly high air of the same small jump.

Viv getting air again.

Jay, concentrating hard on his run-up to the ramp...

The ramp! Helped into life by me.

Viv's actually about 2 foot off the ground...I'm standing on a pile of sand about 4 foot high...so the height sense is off...

Jay...at the same height as Viv...

Nick's amazing trick...no-handed-X-zone-look-like-you're-wetting-yourself.

Rob's amazing trick...took from a dodgy angle...so it looks pap.

Me now, risking my limbs to take these pictures. Huddled under the jump, and taking pictures up, as people fly over me...fun. This is Viv again...by the way.

Jay getting a wee bit close to me here...

Um...a wheel.

And again, another wheel.

Nick's back...

The sky...yay.

Viv's rank hand...with his cut on his ickle finger...aww.

Viv's blood adorning the dirt...

Viv...looking like a scrubber...dirty knees, blood on shirt...

Viv's hand...now bleeding...a lot.

Nick, coming straight for me...argh.

This is me now...in a four foot deep hole...taking pictures of bikes flying towards me...

The plane...yeah. we shouted things at it. Like "rock on".

Jay...on my tiny bike...yeah.

Blood on viv's shirt...ewww.

Now...this is Mark taking these next few pictures. He said that I was "crap" at taking them...aren't these exciting?

woo

yeah

gee

A wall...wow. Mark is so much better than me...obviously.

Ooh, finally...some action. Viv, in great pain...taking off.

Chris and Nick, fixing Nick's bike...after a hard day's bike.

Now...onto the reasoning behind Kerry being here. On the way back from where we were, people peitered away, until there was just me and Mark, walking back to my house. Then Mark came up with the idea of ringing Kerry. She hung up on him. So I rang her...and we went round...and were actually allowed in for about 10 mins...so...here's one.

And the back of her cool jeans...stars and stripes...yeah.

Cheesey grin...

That little blue dog rocks...it nods its head when you poke it.

Kerry, and a door. With the cool top too...lots of writing...

And again...Kerry.

A hand...I think.

Half of me...I refuse to be photographed...I don't turn out well.

Um...yeah.

Again...yeah.

Now onto a genious idea by Kerry...guess what it's a picture of...

Guesssed yet?

Oooh...taxing.

A very taxing conundrum this.

Letting Kerry take the camera perhaps wasn't a good idea. Here's a picture of her nan...

And then...letting Kerry run with the camera upstairs...I'm surprised she can sleep amongst that lot...

A hammock choc-full of asorted stuffed-toys.

...picture of a picture...of ballet shoes...

Wow...cool lickle Gerbil...don't know the name...apparently it's a Guinea Pig...

Fiiiish. Yeah...rockin'. Well, one fish, that doesn't have a name. How can you not name a fish. I shall have to name it then...Mr Fiiish.

Wow...shoes.

Last picture of Kerry...

And Marky, heading off for home, in the rain...hah...I'm only 30 seconds away from home...

Well...'twas fun...bed time now...
